winterizing Your Mitsubishi
Check, Replace, or Refill Fluids
Get all of your vehicle’s fluids taken care of and make sure everything is full and ready for action. Here are a few you shouldn’t skip out on:
- Coolant - Make sure you have the correct mix of antifreeze and water in your vehicle to prevent any issues. Your owner’s manual or a service team member at Morgantown Mitsubishi can help you determine what is best for your car.
- Wiper Fluid - Make sure your wiper fluid is refilled and that it is freeze-resistant. You don’t want to be caught with a dirty windshield and realize that your wiper fluid has run out!
- Oil -Talk to the service team to see what type of oil is best for the West Virginia temperatures and for your vehicle. We’d be happy to help you determine this and get your oil changed. Be sure to check our service specials regularly for ways to save at Morgantown Mitsubishi.
Get Your Car’s Belts and Hoses Checked
Bring your vehicle in to Morgantown Mitsubishi’s service center for a belts and hoses inspection. Colder temperatures can have an impact on the strength of these, potentially causing them to break or snap when you’re on the road. Avoid becoming stranded and let us take a look at them before you get on the road this winter.
Pack a Winter Safety Kit
You might think you’ll never get caught in a situation where you’d need an emergency kit, but you never know! Plan for the unexpected and put together a winter safety kit. Here are a few things to include:
- First Aid Kit
- Ice scraper
- Warm clothes
- Flashlight and batteries
- Jumper cables
- Road salt or sand for traction
By following our tips, you’ll be much more prepared when the winter weather hits West Virginia. Morgantown Mitsubishi has you covered when it comes to all your winter maintenance needs and repairs.
